In a move to reinforce its position as a leading destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), the Karnataka government has partnered with Naukri.com to enhance talent accessibility for organizations setting up operations in the state.
As per a report by Hindustan Times, the initiative is being driven through the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and is aimed at enabling faster and more efficient hiring for newly established GCCs.
Under this collaboration, a specially curated “GCC Starter Package” will be offered to companies, providing access to premium hiring tools, enhanced employer branding, and recruitment support services at no cost for the first 90 days. The initiative is designed to help organizations accelerate their workforce build-out during the critical early stages of setup.
The partnership also aligns with the state’s broader strategy to expand GCC growth beyond Bengaluru into emerging cities such as Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Hubballi-Dharwad. This distributed approach is expected to unlock new talent pools while supporting regional economic development.
Industry observers note that such public-private collaborations are becoming increasingly critical as India’s GCC ecosystem continues to scale rapidly, with demand for specialized talent intensifying across sectors including technology, finance, and engineering.
Commenting on the development, Kishore V N, Managing Director, Alp Consulting, said:
“Karnataka’s collaboration with Naukri.com reflects a forward-looking approach to solving one of the most pressing challenges for GCCs, speed and quality of talent acquisition. By combining digital hiring platforms with policy-backed support, the state is creating a more responsive and scalable talent ecosystem. This will not only accelerate GCC expansion but also encourage companies to explore emerging cities as viable talent hubs.”
