Minimum wages revised for below scheduled employment in the respective states
- Corrigendum dated 12.08.2022,Government of India amended central minimum wages Published on 29th July 2022 for various categories CONSTRUCTION OR MAINTENAIICE OF ROADS OR RUNWAYS OR IN BUILDING OPERATIONS IICLUDING LAYING DOWN UNDERGROUND ELECIRICWIRELESS, RADIO, TELEVISION , TELEPHONE ,TELEGRAPH AND OVERSEAS COMMIUNICATION CABLES AIID SIMILAR OTHER UNDER GROUND CABLING WORK,ELEIC'TRIC LINES, WATER SI'PPLY LINES; AND SEWERAGE PIPE LIINES.
- Government of kerala revised minimum wages payable to employees employed in Security services ,Shops and establishment, Courier services,DTP Centres,Internet Cafes,Telephone booths ,Catering services ,House Boat services,Computer software industry.
- Government of Maharashtra revised minimum wages Variable Dearness Allowance ef 01.07.2022 and will be valid 31st December 2022
- Government of Bihar vide Notification No 5/M.W-40-15/2021 L&R-3142 revised minimum wages w.e.f 1st September 2022
Shops and Establishment
- Government of Madhya Pradesh vide notification No /283/443/2022/A-16 directs that the provisions of Section 25 of the Madhya Pradesh Shops and Establishment Act related to working hours of women between 9.00 PM to 7.00 AM shall not apply to all Shops and Commercial Establishment in the whole State of Madhya Pradesh subject to the terms and conditions.
- The Governor of Uttar Pradesh vide notification No 1106/XXXVI-03-2022-14(Sa)/2019 dated 3rd August 2022 pleased to make the rules with a view of amending the Uttar Pradesh Dookan Aur Vanijiya Adhisthan Niyamavali ,1963 amending the provisions on the procedure of registration and renewal of license .For complete details refer notification attached

Factories Act
Government of Himachal Pradesh vide notification Shram (A) 3-4 /2022 dated 12th August 2022 referred Judgment dated 08.12.2000 of Honorable Madras High court in case No W.P. 4604 to 4606 of 1999 and others (Vasantha R versus Union of India and others) provision of section 66(1) (b) of the Factories Act 1948 has been set aside .The Governor of Himachal Pradesh is pleased to permit employment of women workers in factories situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh during the night shifts i.e from 7.00 PM to 6.00 AM from the date of publication of notification in Official Gazette which will remain valid for three years subject to the conditions mentioned.
Holiday
- The government of Goa vide order No 8/8/2022 MAG/L&O/Panchayat Elect/200 mts declared that all restaurants ,Bars,Tea shops,Pan shops,Eateries and other food shops/joints(Dhabas,Gaddas) etc situated within 200 metres of the polling situation , in the respective thalukas of North Goa District , will remain closed on 10.08.2022 from 6.00 AM to 6.00 PM on the day of Poll and on 12.08.2022 from 6.00 AM till end of counting of votes .
- The Governor of Himachal Pradesh pleased to declare 10th August,2022 (Wednesday) as Public Holiday on account of by elections only to the voters of respective Gram Panchayat .All Government offices ,Boards, Corporations,Educational Instituitions and Industrial Establishments under the Industrial Dispute Act and shops will remain closed on the said date in the area of concerned Institutions where by elections are scheduled to be held. This will be paid holidays to daily wages employees and also within the meaning of section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act 1881
- The Government of Uttarpradesh,vide Notification No 499/3-2022-39(2)/2016 has declared 19th August as public holiday on account of the Janmashtami festival.
- Government of Bihar, vide notification no 03/HO-01/2022-S-P-15471 declared public holidays for the year 2023.
