Building and other construction workers Cess

  1. According to departmental notification No. F-43-2/2015/A-XVI dated June 15, 2016, the government of Madhya Pradesh amended sub-section (1A) of section 3 of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996. The total cost of exemption from construction costs shall not exceed 3% of the technical sanction of the building and other construction project.

Employee State Insurance  

  1. As per ESIC Circular No. P-11/12/Default Employers/2023 Rev II, all appropriate authorities are advised to update the status of employer data and also take action against partially contributing employers. 
  2. The Employees State Insurance Corporation has released a circular (No. N-15015/01/2023-P&D) pertaining to the state-by-state revised list of notified and non-notified districts under ESIC 2.0/Vision-2022.
  3. The Employees State Insurance Corporation has released an extra-ordinary notification no. N-17011/1/Odisha/2023-P&D, extended to the families of insured persons in all areas of Naragarh & Nabrangpur Districts

  1. In accordance with No.F.14(11)(1) Labour/Rules/2017, the Government of Rajasthan has issued a notification regarding the necessary safety and security measures for female employees in shops and establishments. If a female employee is required to work at night, their written consent must be obtained during working hours, and it must also be guaranteed that they return home safely after work.

3. Due to Dr. B.K. Ambedkar's birthday, April 14, 2024, has been declared a holiday by the Indian government via F.No.12/4/2020-JCA.

4. In accordance with No.397/XXXVI-03-2024-17(Sa)- 2023 dated 19th February 2024, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has issued a notification regarding the necessary safety and security measures for female employees in Factory.

Labour Welfare Fund

  1. Maharashtra Labour Welfare fund Amended the Employer and Employee Labour Welfare contribution wide Ref No.RNI No. MAHENG/2000/35528. The amount of contribution payable for six months, the employees name names appears in the register of establishment on the 30th June and 31st December respectively to contribute Rs.25 as employee’s contribution, The State Government on receipt of the proposal of the board an increase the contribution, however the increase shall not exceed 30%.

In respect of the employer, the contribution will be thrice the contribution payable by the employee. 

Shop and Establishment

  1. The Government of Manipur through extra-ordinary notification No.2/10/2024/Leg-L announced the exemption from Renewal of Registration and License by establishments.

Profession Tax

  1. Maharashtra Government amends the rules on Maharashtra State Trade on Profession, Trades, Calling, Employment rules 1975 and rules may be called as Maharashtra State Trade on Profession, Trades, Calling, Employment Act Rules, 2024.                             

Minimum Wages

The Government of Uttarakhand vide No. 286/VIII-1/24-228 Labour/200-Part-II, has released minimum rate of wages with effect from 01st April 2024.
